Tilting The Wheelchair Makes Everything Easier
My daughter was involved in a car accident about five years ago and was paralyzed from the waist down. Since then, my husband and I have always taken her to her dentist and doctor appointments together because she needed to be lifted out of her wheelchair to be placed into an exam chair and she only trusts us not to drop her. You can imagine how much extra time that it takes to have both of us at every appointment.
All of that has seemed to change overnight, and it does not require both of us to take her to appointments anymore because of the new tilting wheelchair device that was placed in the new section of the hospital in our home town. Now, whenever a wheelchair bound person needs anything that would require them to be tilted back, they use the new tilting wheelchair device and it makes things easier and less stressful for everyone.
My daughter is so excited that she is actually looking forward to her next visit to the doctors. That is a change from the usual attitude where she starts worrying about it for days before the actual appointment is scheduled for. I believe the tilting wheelchair device is going to change all of our lives for the better.
