The last thing that I want to do is tell the little old lady that runs the office supplies store that I do not need her to send me my monthly order but I have recently been made aware that her prices are much higher than many online discount office supplies companies. I have asked her if she can match any of their prices and she said that she just cannot do that since she does not order in bulk like they do, therefore cannot pass on those prices. If she price matched, she said that she would be out lots of money.

I know that she has been running the office supplies store for forty years now and is not planning on retiring for at least five years. I cannot see myself continuing to pay the high prices for five more years for the things that I know are priced so much lower with the discount office supplies companies.

I am thinking that if I slowly start to move my orders to the online sources, that maybe she will not notice that I need less and less from her. Maybe she will even think that I am going out of business or something too. This is the plan that I am going to try and use so that I do not have to tell her that I am switching to a new office supplies provider.
