My best friend has been so lucky with his suitors and ex-boyfriends. She is not the type to ask for many things but for some strange reason she has been given various presents by those whom she had a relationship with.

In a matter years we have noticed how much jewelry she has kept from old flings and boyfriends. Diamonds are indeed a girl’s best friend but with my lucky best friend, they were just too many of them to have a healthy relationship with. She only wanted to keep the best of those diamonds.

Determined to get some money out of excess jewelry, my friend went online to find sell gold and sell diamonds shops. We found a few shops but only found one that had extensive list of diamonds to buy. I’ve been really busy. You see, two of the most important women in my life will be celebrating very important moment in their lives next month. My best friend will be marrying her long time boyfriend on the 12^th, and she chose me as her maid of honor. I’ve been going with her in almost all wedding-related appointments, and I have been busy finalizing some small details that I don’t want her to worry about anymore. As my best friend since ever, I want her to feel like a princess on her wedding day.

My one and only niece on the other hand will be celebrating her 18^th birthday on the 14^th. Her mother, who is my elder sister, died at childbirth. She was really young when she gave birth and so the doctor said that her body responded negatively to the operation. Her boyfriend was also nowhere to be found. I was also very young at the time, but I felt like I have to act as her mother as much as I can.

Since I supervise both their parties, I tried to do most tasks simultaneously. I was looking for an Arizona wedding music band for my friend and an Arizona dance band for my niece. Good thing that there is a band who can actually be both. So, my job as maid of honor and as a pseudo-mom was made a little easier.

I was bored in the office one day. My life was constant. Same things happen every day. I wake up, I take a shower, I go to the office, I do my job, and I eat my lunch and do my job again. Go to afternoon meetings then wait for five in the afternoon and that’s it. The end of the day. Very monotonous. Very predictable. I have always wanted something exciting but life is always like that to me. Always served in a silver platter. I think I am not thinking anymore because it’s always the same. Allow me to grab this opportunity to give words of praise as a sign of my gratitude to three very helpful souls I met on my way back home last night. It is indeed true that heroes come in different shapes and sizes, and most of the time; they come at very unexpected places and circumstances.

You see, I had to go home in the middle of the night because my daughter was about to give birth. It was actually earlier than the expected date, but we are just too happy to know that our first granddaughter will arrive very soon. My wife was very emotional when she called me. So without any further explanations, I drove back home right away. Not all lawyers are asking for money. For some-they do it out of pity or an overcoming emotion drifted to them to do it. It was a triumphant experience for someone who does not have the knowledge yet they were still given the privilege. Why is it so hard to get rid of pests like millipedes, ants, ticks and roaches that eat up my beautiful flowers? I was a very lazy person. But before you will say nasty words about me, let me tell you a story. I WAS that’s past tense. I was that lazy person but now, I am not anymore. I live alone in an apartment. Nobody comes there. My friends have apartments of their own. And when we go out, we usually go to a drinking bar. Yes, I don’t have a girlfriend as well. So, nobody really visits me except my mother who nags me every time about cleanliness. One day, she asked who’s taking care of the awning cleaning in one of her favorite shops near my apartment. I said that I don’t have an idea. My mother told me that I should check it out.

Out of curiosity, I looked at the place one time and really it was really clean compared to other stores. Then I thought asking a cleaning company to clean my room. I went inside that store. Talked to the owner and she gave me a website. I went home and checked the website and since my apartment is really the worst. As I was waiting for my daughter in the school parking lot the other day, I saw two high school kids in funny t shirts  with designs that made me laugh out loud.  I was still laughing when my husband called me on my cell phone which made him wonder and ask me what was so funny.  I told him about the kids’ shirts and he laughed along with me.  My husband suggested that I go and ask the kids where they bought their shirts.  So I went down the car and approached the kids.  These kids told me about the website where I could order shirts like the ones they have.

When I arrived home and after preparing dinner for my daughter and husband, I found time to go on the internet and check-out the website.  I thought that I would only find ordinary round-neck shirts on the website so I was surprised and delighted that there were different styles to choose from: baby doll tees, hoodies, tank tops as well as ringer tees! 

I rarely shopped online but I couldn’t help myself this time.  I bought about five shirts!  My favorite was the one saying: I’M MOM’S FAVORITE, and I plan to wear it next week during my mom’s birthday party.  I’d love to see my sister’s reaction when she sees the shirt and I’m pretty sure she would love to order funny shirts like that as well!
